Elizabeth / 14 / 9th grade / Interests are cheerleading and digital art.
Spends most of her time on her phone and creates art digitally with an application and her finger. Loves spending time with her friends and watching anime. Feels as though she learns best when she’s enjoying herself and is immersed by the content. Her cousin Jennifer sparked her interests in art at a young age. Is content with her life at the moment and will save the bigger questions for later.
Takeaway: An empathetic child that’s still developing her own interests and is still a bit shy about sharing her creative expression with others. She spends a considerable amount of time enjoying her hobbies online.
Henry / 17 / 12th grade / Interests are brazilian jiu jitsu and online games
Very inquisitive, loves technology and competitive sports. Laid back, but takes his grades very seriously. Is often babysitting his younger siblings. Still trying to figure out what he wants to do for college and is a little bummed out he has to attend community college instead of a four year university. He feels he learns best by asking questions and putting concepts into practice. Is a bit nervous about the future, but believes he will be okay.
Takeaway: A young man who’s nearing a major developmental step towards adulthood.
Confident, but still unsure where he’d like to focus his studies. Very interested in the career paths of others and is seeking a form of guidance from his older siblings.
General Takeaway: They aren’t used to being asked these types of questions, but were thoughtful and eager to answer. These kids are constantly on the move and want something eye-catching and fun to hold their attention. Are very influenced by the adults around them.
